Unlike standard dog fleeces designed to fit every breed, every DoxieDri has been created around the unique proportions of dachshunds. The longer body, deeper chest and shorter legs inspired every detail of the design, resulting in a comfortable, secure fit that allows complete freedom of movement.

Sausage Dog Box have carefully selected soft but water resistant fabrics, and combined these with our expert Dachshund sizing to create the ultimate waterproof harness fleece for Dachshunds. We have spent years researching fabrics and this one blew us away.

The DoxieDri fleece is soft to the touch whilst also being thick, warm and comfortable. Thanks to its water-resistant outer fleece, rainwater beads on the surface rather than soaking into the fabric, helping to prevent it from becoming soggy, heavy or uncomfortable while keeping your dachshund warm, dry and comfortable. Our waterproof dachshund harness fleece also features a fully waterproof chest and tummy panel, carefully tailored to provide a comfortable fit for both male and female dachshunds.

Designed around the unique shape of dachshunds to reduce rubbing around the chest and front legs compared with standard dog fleeces. 

We've even thought of the little things, flattening the inside seams to maximise comfort for even the most sensitive dachshunds. Combined with our breed-specific fit, the DoxieDri helps minimise rubbing and is ideal for dogs prone to chafing.

In addition, our registered design ensures your Dachshund maintains a full range of leg movement whilst out on their adventures.

Features a step-in design with a lined zip up the back, and reinforced D-rings so your dogs lead can easily clip onto their jumper. The DoxieDri Dachshund Fleece can be used instead of a harness, due to being able to clip your dogs lead onto the sturdy and strong D-rings on the back. However, you can also place your dogs harness over the top should you prefer.

We have combined contrasting coloured fabrics which complement each other, alongside adding an embroidered Dachshunds silhouette on each side, for a classy and 'sausage-y' look.

The Waterproof DoxieDri Dachshund Fleece also features a velcro wrap neck design to cater for the Sausage Dogs who don't enjoy garments going over their head. This can be adjusted to the most comfortable fit for your Doxie and has been designed in this way, along with having a tapered waist, to ensure maximum security, even for the cheeky pups who love to wriggle out of things!

The Sausage Dog Box DoxieDri's are easy to put on and take off, allowing you to quickly get going on your exciting dachshund walk.

How to use: First lay the unzipped DoxieDri flat on the floor and place your Dachshund on top with their front legs inserted into the leg holes. Pull the jumper upwards and secure the neck velcro. Next, secure the DoxieDri in place by fastening the lined zip. Ensure both the neck area and chest panel is tight but comfortable. Attach your dogs lead to the reinforced D-rings and away you go!

Our new improved sizing includes slim and wide fits, and 11 sizes in total, to ensure your Dachshund has a stylish and functional garment that is close to a made to measure fit, without the hassle or delay. We cater for tiny dachshund puppies, miniature dachshunds, tweenies and standard dachshunds alike.

Washing: We understand that Sausage Dog Clothes tend to get muddy quickly, which is why we are committed to designing functional dachshund clothes that are easy to clean. In fact, throughout rigorous testing we have confirmed that even the lighter colours come out of the wash cycle looking brand new! Our DoxieDri Dachshund Sweaters can be machine washed at 30 degrees and tumble dried or radiator dried, without impacting on their quality, shape or performance. To preserve the water resistant properties for longer however, we recommend air drying.

The D-rings on our DoxieDri fleeces are reinforced for everyday walking. If your dog pulls forcefully, lunges, or is generally reactive on lead, please attach your lead to their collar or a traditional harness to ensure optimal safety and control.

Can I attach my lead directly to the D-rings?

Yes. The reinforced D-rings are designed for everyday walking and allow you to attach your lead directly to the DoxieDri, meaning it can be used instead of a traditional harness. If your dog pulls forcefully, lunges or is reactive on lead, we recommend attaching your lead to a well-fitting harness or collar for additional safety and control.

Is the DoxieDri completely waterproof?

The DoxieDri features a fully waterproof chest and tummy panel, combined with a water-resistant outer fleece that causes rain to bead on the surface rather than soak in. It's ideal for wet walks, helping to keep your dachshund warm, dry and comfortable.

Which dachshunds is the DoxieDri suitable for?

Our DoxieDri has been designed specifically for dachshunds and is available in 11 sizes, including Slim and Wide fits. We cater for tiny puppies, miniature dachshunds, tweenies and standard dachshunds.

How do I choose the correct size?

Can the DoxieDri be machine washed?

Yes. The DoxieDri can be machine washed at 30°C. It can also be tumble dried or dried on a radiator without affecting its shape or performance, although air drying will help preserve the water-resistant finish for even longer.

Does the DoxieDri go over my dog's head?

No. The DoxieDri features a step-in design with a zip-up back and adjustable Velcro neck, making it quick and easy to put on without pulling it over your dachshund's head. Perfect for quickly getting out of the door or for dachshunds with IVDD who benefit from avoiding garments being pulled over their head.
