Our new range of Sausage Dog Coats have an extended tummy area to keep your dachshunds belly and chest dry, along with a longer neck to keep them extra warm, which can be tightened up or left loose if you wanted to tuck their little ears out of the wind.
 
Crafted with a water-repellent outer surface and an intelligent breathable membrane, our practical Dachshund raincoat offers unparalleled protection from the elements while preventing overheating. The inside has the thickest 3000g/m PolarTec fleece so you can keep your Wiener warm and protected from the cold weather. 
 
We understand that their unique shape can mean small puddles or the wet ground is an issue when it comes to your dog enjoying their walk, which is why we have designed a 'V' shape underneath, which not only suits both male and female dogs and enables them to pee comfortably without being restricted, but gives maximum underneath coverage. To enhance safety during night-time walks, all our coats feature reflective binding, and an opening hole for ease of use when attaching a lead to your dogs harness.

Sizing
 
Carefully designed to fit the unique body shape of Dachshunds, our coats are fully adjustable at the neck and chest to ensure the perfect sizing. Our most popular size is a Small and most suitable for Small to Medium sized Miniature Dachshunds, it can span between 10 to 16 inches at the neck. This can be tightened to the most comfortable position using the drawstrings. In addition, the chest area spans from 13 to 19 inches, it just needs fastening with the velcro strips alongside the elastic webbing and buckles to achieve the perfect fit.
 
We have reviewed over 1,000 dachshund measurements to create a matrix of sizes to suit all builds of the breed, from puppy Miniature Dachshunds weighing 2.2kg, to Adult Standard Dachshunds weighing 11.8kg.
 
After extensive research over the last 5 years, we've perfected the sizing to offer the best-fitting Dachshund coat that you can get your paws on within a few days. Our innovative Sausage Dog Coats cater to both skinny and curvier Dachshunds.
 
They are designed to fill the small gap between their front legs comfortably while providing ample chest and tummy coverage. They feature longer coverings over the hind bottom area, to make the back length variable and provide extra shelter from the rain. This can also be a great benefit if your dachshund is between standard back lengths, as perfect sizing can still be acomplished.
 
Whilst our Dachshund Coats are fully adjustable for better sizing, we recommend recording down your dogs measurements (as per our 'How To Measure' guide) and finding the size that is closest to the mid point of the measurements, this will be the most appropriate fit for your dachshund.
